Just outside of Canyon Lake, are many other great towns to visit. Lake Elsinore, San Juan Capistrano and the OC (Orange County) are to the West, Corona, San Bernardino and Los Angeles to the North and Northwest, Menifee and Palm Springs to the East, Temecula, Murrieta and San Diego to the South.

Driving times range from a few minutes to an hour and a half to reach these destinations from Canyon Lake.

Visit Southern California's very own wine country in Temecula and drive by Old Town Temecula while you're there and experience the old west.

Speaking of old towns, you can also drive down the newly restored Old Town of Murrieta. In Lake Elsinore, you'll be able to see the beauty of a lake city that is just on the verge of a growth in development. Additionally, Lake Elsinore is home for the Lake Elsinore Storms and their beautiful stadium. It has also become a prime spot for sky diving, motorcross tracks, and watersports such as wakeboarding, skiing and jet skis.
